Lara founded The Green Team Real Estate to fill a gap in the industry. An ever increasing number of buyers and sellers recognize the value and need for more eco-friendly homes. Yet, few agents have the product and technology knowledge, the local market knowledge and the personal passion to satisfy this expanding segment. Her mission was to create a real estate group that the public identifies as the local resource for buying, selling or creating greener homes.
Lara's been active in real estate as both an investor and an agent, and she understands the needs of home buyers/sellers, investors and builders. Whether you are a seasoned veteran of real estate transactions or a first-time home buyer, Lara will provide you with the same level of professionalism, attention to detail and quality of service you deserve.
Her goal is to add value to your real estate transaction with her unique education and skill set. That might mean finding someone a "Green" dream home, or could be as simple as helping people better understand what homes would be healthier or more energy efficient for themselves and their families.
Lara is a licensed broker in the State of Colorado and has earned the certified EcoBroker designation. She did further training through a program in Berkely, CA, obtaining a Certified Green Building Professional designation in 2006 and in 2007 completed a green building certificate program at Colorado State University's Institute for the Built Environment. She is a member of the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce Environmental Committee, providing outreach to businesses and the community, and an active member of the local branch of the US Green Building Council (USGBC). She is also a charter member of the Local Living Economy Network.
Prior to forming the Green Team, she had over 15 years of broad business experience in Marketing, Sales and Consulting positions, providing her with a foundation of unique skills to help you in your next home sale or purchase. She holds an MBA in marketing from Warwick University in Coventry, England, and a Bachelors degree with honors from the University of Pennsylvania (PENN).
As an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying everything from mountain biking to snow shoeing to trail running, Lara is able to provide new Fort Collins residents with good guidance on the multitude of opportunities available for outdoor enjoyment in the area.
